A diploma in industrial design provides students with the education they will need to design indoor products such as electronics, lighting fixtures, and furniture. A heavy emphasis will be placed on aesthetics and creative thinking. Extensive courses in design trends, manufacturing, and research methods will usually be required for graduation. Students will also be expected to develop a firm understanding of design software and its benefits.
